We're excited to find dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants in Lancaster to support our KS3 and KS4 students and teachers. This role offers a daily wage between £85 and £90, reflecting your experience, qualifications, and teaching abilities.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help, and helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will collaborate closely with educators to facilitate lesson preparation and classroom management while encouraging student participation and fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities:
6. Reading, writing and SPAG support.
7. Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
8. Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
9. To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
10. To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
11. To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
12. Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
13. To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
14. Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.
Requirements:
15. Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
16. Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
17. Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
18. Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
19. TA qualified.
