You will start your career with us by taking part in our in-depth induction program, designed to support you in finding your feet within our organisation, and quickly feel part of the team. The induction program leads to the Care Certificate.
Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) are essential providers of everyday care for our patients. It's the kind of job where you will need to be organised, adaptable, resilient, and hardworking. You will need great empathic skills, and the ability to overcome challenges. You will need to be willing to be hands-on with our patients.
The HCSW role includes a variety of working patterns which attract shift allowances.
* Provide care for patients, helping to maintain their personal hygiene, which will sometimes include working with human excreta and bodily fluids.
* Provide physical comfort for patients, whilst ensuring their privacy and dignity is always maintained.
* Wash and dress patients, and help them to safely move around.
* Serve meals and help with feeding.
* Assist with cleaning tasks and making beds.
* Record information to patient administration system and assist team with other administrative duties.
Most importantly, you will ensure patient experience is positive by treating all patients, relatives, and colleagues in accordance with Trust values.
Qualifications
You will be required to upload:
* English and Maths at Functional Skills Level 1 or GCSE or International equivalent.
