THE ROLE
What you’ll be doing:
* Reviewing day-to-day legal queries and providing advice to internal teams clearly and concisely
* Drafting and reviewing lending and security documents
* Reviewing NDAs and commercial contracts
* Working closely with our external company secretary to manage the capital table of the business and any secretarial filings as well as to administer the company’s employee share option scheme
* Creating summary materials for data protection and other legal topics as necessary including research into recent legislation and regulations that may impact the business
* Work closely with a number of teams including Commercial, Risk, Product and Finance to deliver company goals
* Assisting with various administrative tasks within legal, compliance and data protection
What you’ll have:
* A Law Degree from a top tier university
* Professional qualification (LPC, BPTC, CILEX or foreign equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent work-based professional training
* Minimum 3 years experience relating to SME lending
* Regulatory compliance or data protection experience, preferred but not essential
* Highly organised and meticulous with details
* A self starter with a track record of solving complex problems through a methodical approach
* Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
