Graduate Civil Engineer / C# Software Developer
* Bonus/Benefits: Competitive Graduate Level Salary
* Job Type: Permanent
Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a recent graduate civil engineer looking to pursue a career in software development.
Your new company: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading midlands organisation who support the global construction industry with cutting edge formwork, falsework/shoring, heavy-duty support, ground shoring, safety & access systems. In business for over 100 years, they have helped to create some of the world's most challenging and impressive structures.
Your new role: They are seeking a graduate with a Degree in Civil Engineering but with a natural interest in pursuing a career in technology. You will be trained within their technology team as a software developer creating code in C# for their Engineering teams and external customers. The software you create will help the engineers to design and edit 3D schemes in fast and intuitive ways. You will need to be highly self-motivated as you build relationships, analyse design processes, generate action plans, provide timelines and develop software from concept to completion. In this role, you will be trained to develop new C# Revit plugins and be encouraged to write clean reusable code that is well documented and follows best practice while having an understanding of Revit functionality and Revit Families. The majority of their code is written in C# with a focus on user-friendly WinForms dialogs and dynamic previews using GDI+.
What you'll need to succeed: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Degree in Civil Engineering; however, a degree in computer science will be considered if you have an interest in the civil engineering and construction industry. A general knowledge of C# software development experience is required, but full training will be given.
What you'll get in return: A competitive salary and bonus package is available alongside hybrid working (once initial probation is passed).
