Job summary
Do you want to work in an excellent nurse-led, outpatient unit that provides a high standard of care to patients?
If so, our vacancy within the East Coast medical elective service might be the job you have been looking for?
Our service provides treatments for a wide range of patients' conditions, with the aim of maintaining their health and reducing the need to access the acute patient setting.
The Bronte/Lawrence Units provide nurse-led outpatient services to patients requiring a variety of treatments, including blood transfusions, platelet transfusion, and venesections.
We also provide intravenous therapies, including specialist treatments such as immunoglobulin, bisphosphonates, and biological therapies.
We have a great team of staff and we consistently receive a 100% recommendation of good/very good from our patients' friend and family survey.
Our staff gain job satisfaction from providing vital treatments for our patients, many of whom regularly attend our service. This enables a positive therapeutic relationship between patients and staff.
The base for the post will be on the Bronte Unit, Scarborough Hospital, but cross-site cover to the Lawrence Unit, Bridlington Hospital is expected as part of the role.
We are looking for caring individuals and although it is not essential, ideally you will have experience of at least 18 months at Band 5 level nursing within an acute setting.
