Civil Enforcement Officer - Role Profile
Plymouth Highways department have a number of vacancies within the Parking Service and are looking to recruit a number of ambitious, customer-focused Civil Enforcement Officers.
This exciting but demanding role will lead a new way in supporting safety around our schools. The successful candidates will initially work in one of our wards and be self-motivated to deliver parking enforcement in a cluster of schools to help improve the safety of pedestrians.
The successful candidate will be based in either a local school, library, or from home.
Within this role, the successful candidate will:
1. Be responsible for all on and off-street parking enforcement throughout the city and council car parks, during prescribed hours, in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 and as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisor.
2. Undertake beats and patrols, and complete log books and handheld computers as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisor.
3. Undertake any training and development as identified as part of individual appraisals and/or as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisors, including regular refresher training.
4. Provide help and advice to the public and be an ambassador for the council as part of a high-profile uniformed public service providing customers with courteous help and advice.
5. Work under your own initiative to cover the allocated beat area.
2 x Part-time positions, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-9am & 2pm-4pm (Term time only, 39 weeks).
