As Project Management Officer you will be part of the Project PMO (Programme Management Office). You will join a team of specialists providing functions that are intrinsic to the delivery of the project spread across “Design”, “Supply” and "Maintenance". The 3 contracts are NEC condition based, principally covering Activities under Lump Sum and Target Cost pricing. We deliver this through a multi-discipline, international mix of professionals and “Sister” companies. You will liaise, coordinate and manage the required outputs and outcomes that come from these contracts on a day-to-day basis. This covers the systems, processes and procedures associated with the project requirements and to ensure we provide information, documents, designs and other technical information on time, to the client’s specification error fee. This role is both one of oversight in specific areas as well as being responsible for obtaining and providing information required to both Internal and External stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Management of processes needed within the Project PMO to ensure milestones are delivered, in particular; Key Dates,Completion Date,Programme Information (Designs, documents, manuals, delivery dates),Timely Project Management Data (time limited or commercial time/cost data).
2. Responsibility for the engagement, liaison, and day to day coordination of inputs and outputs with regards to internal or external interfaces, in particular: Sister Companies,Supply Chain,Customer,Track Contractors.
3. To ensure records are provided in a timely manner, are an accurate record, inclusive of actions and in the approved format, summarised on the “Tracker” for action monitoring, in particular; Formal record of Scheduled Meeting (one-note or similar), circulated to specific participants,Support and liaise with BIM & Project Controls Managers to provide data for submissions for Internal/External record systems (Teamcenter, EB, Project Wise etc.),Ensure any potential changes regarding milestone are raised promptly with the Project Manager,Form a close working relationship with internal and external interfaces providers to ensure any contractual matters are raised in a timely manner (Early Warnings, Risk Reduction Meetings & Proposals).
4. To monitor progress against the programme and advise on any variance from planned, seek where this may arise the proposed corrective action. (i.e. Internal providers to Client).
5. Participation as directed by the Project Manager, participation, attendance or leading the company's position at Internal/External meetings.
6. Ensure that all Health, Safety and associated Legislative is complied with, in particular; CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations ,Induction and attendance compliance at all working areas, visiting signing-in/out arrangements and/or delivering,All other applicable statutory, Mandatory, regulatory, or best practice requirements associated with the delivery of the planned activities.
7. To liaise with the Project Controls Manager to ensure progress of all activities under your coordination are updated on the P6 (Primavera) programme.
8. To liaise with the BIM Manager to ensure data requirements (if applicable) of all activities under your coordination are provided as requested.
9. To liaise with the Document Control Manager to ensure documentation is issued, received as per the latest Clause 32 programme ensuring adherence to the Client's standards are maintained and that personnel are explicitly using Teamcenter as its document control system.
10. To ensure from a corporate perspective clear compliance with company systems, process, procedures, and policies that may affect operations on site. (i.e. Legal, financial, contract, procurement, Health and Safety).
11. To ensure in liaison with the Project Manager there are clear, transparent and auditable records produced, updated and circulated that monitor all aspects of the delivery of all aspects of the project and thereby internal reports (i.e. time, money, variance and corrective action).
QualificationsQualifications
12. Suite of GCSEs and A levels or equivalent and working towards membership of a Project Management body such as APOM or PRINCE.
13. Experience working on projects not necessarily rail related.
14. Experience of managing projects with a willingness to grow and develop these skills.
15. Ability to organise the project team, sister companies and external stakeholders to deliver and meet the project requirements.
16. Ability to form and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to the benefit of the project and oneself.
17. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
