Greycoat Lumleys is working with a client who is looking for an experienced Gardener to take on a wonderful role in a stunning location in the Derbyshire Dales. The client is looking for a Gardener who will settle with them long-term and also become part of the local community.
The client has designed and re-developed most of the garden themselves over the last 25 years and they are looking for someone who can take over the running and hands on maintenance while still consulting with the client / owner. The main areas of the garden are well established borders and flower beds, many planted with Rhododendrons and Azaleas as well as a small walled garden, greenhouse, orchard and extensive lawns. The client is also keen to have someone interested in parkland trees and their care. Good horticultural knowledge and appropriate qualifications are essential.
Duties will include:

The role is live in and offers some of the best accommodation possible. Within a lovely rural village setting is a 3 bed cottage with its own large garden and outbuildings. The property will be fully renovated with new kitchen and bathroom and ready for occupancy from October 2024. The accommodation would be best suited to a small family as there is a lovely school in the village (Primary – Ofsted Outstanding) and it also falls into the Lady Manners catchment area. The cottage will be provided unfurnished at a concessionary rate of rent, council tax paid by the employer and other utility bills to be paid by the employee.
