If you thrive on building relationships, solving problems, and staying on top of logistics and admin – we want to hear from you What You'll Be Doing Welcoming customers at the trade counter and assisting with enquiries. Handling incoming calls, emails, and messages efficiently and professionally. Negotiating hire rates, deposits, transport costs, and resolving damage disputes. Offering advice, solving problems, and building long-term customer relationships. Processing hire orders via our internal system – including contracts, transport notes, damage charges, and workshop job sheets. Monitoring stock levels and coordinating equipment transfers between depots. Planning driver schedules for timely deliveries and collections. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a Hire Controller or similar role (tool, plant, or equipment hire). A natural communicator with strong customer service skills. Organised, calm under pressure, and able to juggle multiple priorities. Comfortable negotiating and solving problems with a customer-first mindset. Good with numbers, words, and systems – you’re confident with IT and admin tasks. A team player who’s eager to learn and contribute to a busy, positive environment. What’s In It for You?
