The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Providing Mental Health assessment, routine and urgent, including risk assessment and formulation of the mental health and treatment needs for referred patients; acting as care-coordinator. Provide recommendations for maintaining maximal employment, applying an occupational health matrix. Acting as a clinical resource and liaise with Medical Officers/General Practitioners (MO/GP) and offer advice to the chain of command on mental health matters, the administrative management of personnel with mental health difficulties and mental health promotion. Delivering evidence-based interventions for mental health problems in groups and 1:1. Communicating, where appropriate, on occupational information directly with service persons chain of command whilst adhering the principles of patient confidentiality (Caldicott). Educating and involving family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying formulations with sensitivity utilising appropriate communication skills.
