What you will do:
1. Submit COREP/FINREP returns in an accurate and timely manner to the Bank’s regulators namely; Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) & Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
2. Returns include details on credit risk, asset encumbrance, leverage ratio, large exposures, LCR, NSFR and ALMM
3. Improve/develop reconciliation processes and sign-off procedures for major returns
4. Further enhance efficiencies in reporting procedures
5. Support the Risk team for ICAAP and AIRB reporting projects
6. Integrate new returns into existing regulatory data
7. Assist in automating existing reports into 3rd party software, e.g. Lombard Risk, Suade Labs, Focus and Moody’s
8. Collaborate with colleagues from the finance team; financial control, Treasury, Risk and Internal Audit to ensure data is accurate and consistent
What you will need:
* Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
* Experience working in a BAU Regulatory Reporting role combined with the technical knowledge of producing full suite of Regulatory returns
* Understanding of asset encumbrance, leverage ratio, large exposures and Liquidity (LCR, NSFR and ALMM)
* Experience of managing a team and supporting colleagues in their development
* Strong analytical skills to reconcile data and produce reports
* Excellent attention to detail (as these reports are sent to the Banks Regulatory Supervisor) combined with proactive behaviours
* Qualified Accountant ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
* The ability to work to strict deadlines and manage competing priorities
