Job Title: Poverty Reduction Project Officer Location: Town Hall, Reigate (Hybrid working) Salary: £28,023 – £35,724 per annum Hours: 36 hours per week Basis: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (12 months) About the Role Working in partnership with Surrey County Council and working closely with the Council’s Benefit, Housing and Community Partnerships teams, we are invited to collaborate in a pilot scheme utilising the Low Income Family Tracker (LIFT) tool. This is an exciting opportunity to create relationships with other district and boroughs for the benefit of our community’s needs. This role requires a sound knowledge of Excel and would best suit someone comfortable to manipulate and examine data sets. Key responsibilities include: To develop an operational working knowledge of the Low Income Family Tracker. To run small targeted ‘campaigns’ to help households out of poverty. To measure the impact of targeted campaigns, analyse data and report on outcomes. To make other Reigate & Banstead Borough Council teams and partners aware of the project and involve them as required. To work alongside a health researcher on co-production and participative research with residents and stakeholders around the wider determinates of health. To deliver wider tasks within the poverty reduction project, as determined by the line manager. About the Person Experience in supporting people, identifying and responding to complex needs. Experience of working in a multi-agency approach with local Statutory and Non-statutory agencies to support individuals. Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills. Ability to work on own initiative, taking responsibility for managing own work priorities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
