Assistant Operations Manager
Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am -5pm
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Operations Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity a proactive and solution orientated individual with a good eye for detail and passion for process improvement and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Operations Manager in managing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution
* Tracking and evaluating operational performance metrics, pinpointing opportunities for improvement
* Leading and inspiring a team of five direct reports within the Warehouse and Customer Service teams to achieve objectives
* Offering support and guidance to the operational team
* Assisting with training and onboarding of new employees
* Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and safety standards
* Overseeing the maintenance of ISO9001:2015 quality management system and leading annual audits to uphold certification
* Managing supplier compliance with Medical Device Legislation and maintaining proper records
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs
* Contributing to the development and implementation of new operational strategies
* Conducting regulatory assessments and audits
* Preparing and analysing operational reports, offering insights and recommendations
* Tracking and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Presenting data and findings to management
* Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety and regulatory requirements
* Supporting the maintenance of accurate records
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience managing a team within an SME
* Proven expertise in maintaining an ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System
* Experience with ERP and WMS systems
* Strong attention to detail
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Preferred qualification in Business Administration or a related field
