We are looking for a Duty Manager who has worked in a quality venue to help take some responsibility for the restaurant, bar, events and hotel operations within the award-winning the Gailes Hotel and Spa, Irvine. Experience in a similar quality of venue is essential.
Position: Full-Time (Part-time roles can be considered)
The Role:
* Ensure the smooth running of an effective and efficient team, through management of team training and scheduling of their rotas
* Help alongside the General manager, carrying out team training and development
* Work closely with the General manager and head chef to ensure quality of food and service is delivered at all times
* Help with team recruitment
* Maintain SimpsInns' high standards
* Help manage health and safety and food hygiene, ensuring there is strict compliance with all legislation
The Individual:
* Minimum two years’ management experience in a restaurant, traditional brasserie and/or 4*/5* hotel
* Previous hotel experience will be an advantage but not necessary
* Ability to display excellent guest care skills
* A passion for providing the ultimate guest experience
* Proven people management, coaching and team building skills
* Good understanding of health and safety legislation
* Good financial awareness with a full understanding of food and beverage revenue streams and controls, including POS familiarity

Pay: £31,000.00 per year
