Main areas of responsibility: Essential Criteria
* Delivery of our summer coaching blueprint.
* Ensure the safeguarding of children and young people.
* Inspire children on the courses, creating a fun and creative atmosphere.
* Complete all first aid and health and safety risk assessment checks.
* Provide engaging opportunities for participants on the courses.
Job Description:
* We are looking for passionate Sports & Football Coaches to support our programmes across Yorkshire.
* As a Leeds United Foundation coach, you will help provide children with opportunities to take part in football and various sporting activities.
* You will need to be organised, have great communication skills, and ensure health and safety guidance is adhered to.
* We are looking to recruit coaches who are available throughout summer.
* Support the delivery of programme targets & needs.
* Recruit new coaches with a minimum of the FA Introduction to Coaching Football.
* Operate by the Leeds United Foundation policies and procedures, particularly Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
* Attend staff CPD sessions and key staff meetings.
* Ongoing training and development will be provided. The Leeds United Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and it is expected that all applicants will share this commitment.
* FA DBS checks will be carried out on successful candidates subject to post requirements.
ESSENTIAL
Qualifications:
* FA Introduction to Coaching Football.
* FA Safeguarding.
* Educated to A Level or equivalent.
DESIRABLE
* UEFA C or above.
* FA Level 2 First Aid or above.
* Sports development and/or coaching related degree.
Skills:
* Expertise in football skills development and training sessions for children aged 5-14 years.
* Experience in developing young players at various levels.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Exceptional customer service.
* Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
* Personable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
* Deep understanding of football tactics that can be transferred to children’s learning at the appropriate level.
Knowledge and experience:
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of inclusion, equality, anti-discrimination, and safeguarding.
* Knowledge of The FA coaching qualification structure.
* Knowledge of injury prevention.
* Experience working with diverse groups of players in different football cultures.
