What you'll be doing;
Assist in aftercare management, environmental monitoring, and maintenance of closed landfill sites
Support in managing closed landfill sites, staff, contractors and third-party customers
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, company procedures and stakeholder requirements
Manage budgets and supervise staff across a number of closed sites
Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, permits, authorizations and agreements
Assist and guide staff with landfill aftercare management issues and maintain oversight of system upkeep and operations
Conduct environmental monitoring and general site duties / maintenance as needed
Maintain Veolia Systems and ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures for company compliance
What we're looking for;
Strong communication and people management skills with ability to lead teams effectively
Minimum 5 years landfill or waste management experience with expertise in environmental monitoring and environmental control systems operation and maintenance
Practical hands on experience in environmental monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining environmental control systems
Understanding of landfill / waste operations, permits, Health & Safety regulations, and environmental legislation
A relevant COTC or similar qualification
Well motivated and have the ability to travel regularly to different sites, work alone and work as part of a team motivating colleagues.
