We have a fantastic opportunity within the Charity Sector for “Housing Development Manager”.
This inspiring charitable organisation is looking for project management expertise to help pilot a housing project that will transform the way survivors of slavery access safe, secure accommodation and wraparound support.
Initially, your first 6 months will focus on planning and execution toward locating suitable properties within a fully costed project plan.
Then, working with a variety of stakeholders, local authorities, landlords or housing providers, funders, backers, and regulatory bodies, you will navigate and secure suitable properties for development.
Once secured, you will organise contractors and oversee maintenance needs, establish relevant policies and procedures, meet legal compliance and best practice requirements, and create SOPs to ensure continued operational standards are met.
You will utilise your excellent communication skills daily to execute your plan, working closely with the CEO and Ops Director to ensure the charity remains informed and building relations with housing benefit departments and contacts to help ensure onward income for residents is working toward exempt accommodation status.
If you are a people person who can inspire and lead those around you to achieve challenging goals, have energy and knowledge to share, and are highly motivated and influential, wanting to provide better while overcoming the challenges this brings, then this could be the opportunity for you and a chance to give directly to a very worthy cause.
If you can develop services, manage properties and staff, and establish partnerships with Local Authorities, housing providers, and funders, and have experience in housing, leadership, or working with vulnerable groups, this role is a fantastic opportunity to create a real impact. Please apply!
