How you will make Plan Zero happen
Mitie Controls are a leading supplier of BMS services and solutions throughout the UK and have built established partner relationships with leading BMS manufacturers.
The activities delivered by this highly skilled team is ensuring optimal performance of existing BMS installations through effective operation & maintenance regimes, as well as delivering BMS upgrade and new installations across our clients' sites. The focus is to maintain comfort conditions for building users, provide efficient HVAC asset performance and drive down energy usage. Combining the data available from a site's BMS, metering and other sources underpins our approach as a technical leader in BMS operations in the UK.
The key objectives of this role are:
1. To be accountable for owning the business development lifecycle with Mitie clients, securing and exceeding the sales targets for new BMS and Plan Zero works.
2. Influence the growth of the operation by taking responsibility of key clients to help them in the delivery of their Plan zero strategies establishing a strong pipeline of BMS and Net Zero opportunities.
3. Become a conduit between client and operation delivery teams to ensure new projects are designed accurately and to the highest standards to allow works to be secured and profitably delivered.
4. Proactively build strong and honest client relationships to establish and maintain a continuous strategy of ongoing investment in their BMS and their Plan Zero pathways.
5. Explore new and evolving technologies with BMS and Metering solutions to continual drive towards Digital Maintenance solutions.
What will you do day to day?
This role requires extensive interaction and working with Mitie contract leads and end clients, along with a disciplined and motivated approach to delivering success. This will include:
6. Extensive interaction with team members within the BMS and Plan Zero operations, working collaboratively and proactively to deliver joined up solutions to achieve clients Net Zero Pathways.
7. Carrying out regular site visits to survey and evaluate the most suitable BMS solution to meet client requirements.
8. Supporting in tenders, tender interviews and the preparing of tender submissions, professionally articulating the proposed solution in a factual and honest way to gain trust as a valued supplier.
9. Working with the dept Head of Operation to deliver growth strategies with improved margins and profitability.
10. Be an example team player, interacting positively with all members of the wider project and support teams, absorbing feedback and comments to enhance the quoting / tendering process.
11. Provide technical solutions, professional detailed proposals, and accurate costings for all BMS and Energy related project works.
12. Manage Salesforce for all owned opportunities, updating on status and providing accurate and informative sales forecasts.
13. Provide technical support on new innovative solutions that showcase new technologies and integration opportunities
Experience & Skills
14. You will ideally have extensive knowledge and experience of BMS, primarily Trend, Tridium, Distech and Priva.
15. Have experience in a Sales and Business Development role or be from a Technical Engineering background with a desire to suceed in this type of role.
16. Commercially able to make good business judgement decisions.
17. Motivated and have good cross-functional relationships.
