Job Description:
The IT Support Technician is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of all IT equipment, upgrading/issuing new software/hardware, systems integration and performing regular systems maintenance functions.
Key responsibilities and tasks include:
Ensuring the smooth running of group networks
Ensuring help-desk tickets are answered and actioned as appropriate
Being responsible for help-desk ticket escalation for 1st line support
Ensuring that IT equipment is maintained and repaired as necessary
Be hands on with PC / laptop builds, repairs and software installations / upgrades
Set up new staff members / user / email accounts, PC equipment, telephony and associated services
Configure and install network devices and telephony equipment
Help plan and implement system projects (system migrations, domain moves)
Documenting IT procedures, problem resolutions and processes as required
Contribute to the IT strategy, policies and procedures to help identify areas of improvement
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:
Experience in a similar role with strong 1st or 2nd Line Support skills
Good networking and systems administration knowledge including TCP/IP configuration / LAN Setup
Excellent communication skills, written and oral
Knowledge of Office 365 including Administration, OneDrive, Teams & SharePoint
Knowledge of Active Directory
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10-11 and Microsoft Office 2016+
Ability to work on own initiative, a team player with a can-do attitude and attention to detail
