Role: Java Developer Contract Length: U ntil 24/01/2025 Location: Birmingham IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £33.15 per hour Spinwell is recruiting for a Java Developer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JAVA DEVELOPER The main purpose of this role is to work closely with other members of the technical team to develop, support and maintain Java based applications using a customised framework (based on open source software). This includes creating new applications, extending core functionality of the framework and third line user support. In addition, providing expertise in analysing and designing applications, technical expertise and service in software development including installation and configuration and knowledge transfer to the technical team. These applications are used primarily by hospitals for clinical audit data submissions and reporting purposes. The role is responsible for acting as a lead within the development team, providing specialist knowledge within the field of Java software development, systems architecture, design and solution implementation. It is expected the senior software developer will demonstrate a high degree of initiative to undertake their responsibilities and to act as lead specialist in the field of Java development playing a key role in planning, developing and implementing software solutions.
