We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care in a residential setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
2. Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
3. Build trusting relationships with residents, helping them to reach their full potential.
4. Support residents in managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
5. Facilitate social activities and encourage community involvement to enhance resident's quality of life.
6. Work collaboratively with health care professionals, families, and other team members to ensure the best care outcomes.
7. Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning, following all health and social care standards.
Requirements:
8. Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
9. A compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills.
10. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
11. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
12. A commitment to providing high-quality care in line with safeguarding policies.
