Job Description
Role Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to manage Air Freight accounts from start to finish, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships through consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Position Specification:
Full Account Management:
* Oversee all bookings from initiation to completion for assigned customers.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with allocated customers.
Coordination and Communication:
* Issue booking instructions to overseas offices.
* Handle both import and export bookings, accepting orders from customers or overseas offices and ensuring successful door-to-door delivery.
* Provide proactive updates to customers on shipment status, managing exceptions and resolving issues as they arise.
Customs and Logistics:
* Process UK Customs clearances and manage other sites involved in the shipment.
Customer Support:
* Develop processes and tools to enhance customer communication.
* Take and handle customer inquiries promptly, ensuring timely and accurate billing and accruals.
End-to-End File Responsibility:
* Assume full responsibility for handling all aspects of the file from booking to invoicing.
Key Skills:
Air Freight Expertise:
* Strong background in Air Freight Forwarding, with knowledge of both imports and exports.
* Comprehensive understanding of the entire Air Freight process from start to finish.
Customer Service:
* Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
* Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of building and maintaining client relationships.
Attention to Detail & Results-Oriented:
* Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on achieving results.
* Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and act independently when necessary.
Package:
* Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Annual Bonus
* Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
