Children's Home Registered Manager Location: Barnsley Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 39 per week Salary: £41,540.76 (with potential to earn up to £44,740.76 through bonuses) My client are seeking a Children’s Home Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 2-bed home in Barnsley. The role is responsible for providing high-quality care, promoting the rights of young people, and leading a team to support their development. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the home to ensure high standards of care in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies. Lead a team of care workers to support young people's physical, emotional, and social development. Oversee the recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff. Ensure the home maintains a safe environment, including compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Monitor and manage budgets, financial transactions, and the maintenance of premises. Maintain accurate records and provide regular management reports. Chair internal and external meetings and contribute to organisational development. Take on-call responsibilities and, if necessary, sleep-in shifts. Required Skills and Experience: Experience managing a team within a children's residential care setting. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Ability to build effective relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Ability to manage challenging situations with emotional resilience. Diploma level 5 or equivalent in childcare, or willingness to work towards it. Full UK driving licence or access to transport.
