We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Project Manager Infrastructure & Utilities to lead and work alongside a highly skilled team of Engineers and Developers on high-end, luxury projects at Taymouth Castle Golf & Sport Club. Playing an important role in the daily management and the coordination of project management process, and of all infrastructure and utilities portfolio of assets. You will be leading the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, and energy networks. Working as part of the development delivery team, taking direction from the development leadership team and providing technical support to the wider team. Building relationships that manage and influence senior stake holders, the delivery team and utility providers, driving those business priorities through procurement and construction. Establishing project requirements and identifying key specialist consultants to undertake site investigations and survey requirements. Developing a scope of services for both consultants and contractors for the procurement of works. Assessing fee proposals to ensure value for money while establishing protocols and procedures that offer clarity with roles and responsibilities. You will develop, implement and monitor works programmes, ensuring key milestones dates are achieved and delivered to the standards associated with a DLC Club. Chairperson and record keeper at project meetings documenting actions to closeout. Maintaining a project risk register related to all infrastructure and utilities to manage risks and mitigation measures. Manage the preparation of all contract documentation along with key stakeholders from tender process to contracts to project closeout. Manage and assume full responsibility for projects through construction software procure and ensure all required reviews, inputs, updates and approvals are regularly provided. Participating in regular project and design team meetings and contractor prequalification and selection process; ensure suitable selection of consultants and contractors that meet agreed project requirements. By reviewing the scope of services for design team agreements, ensuring the designers scope of works and design responsibilities are clearly defined and understood. Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for utility work, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations. Addressing any conflicts or issues related to utility installations, unforeseen challenges and changes in project scope and address any contractual issues to ensure timely completion. Implementing and enforcing quality assurance measures for utility installations to ensure the delivery is completed to the highest standard. You conduct regular site inspections to ensure that the quality of work is in accordance with approved plans and specifications, inspections and testing are carried out as necessary to verify the quality of utility work. You identify and assess potential risks related to utility installations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. While ensuring Health & Safety requirements are followed at all stages of pre-construction, construction and installation. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that the quality of work is in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Ensure inspections and testing are carried out as necessary to verify the quality of utility work. Identify and assess potential risks related to utility installations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure Health & Safety requirements are followed at all stages of pre-construction, construction and installation. Participate in regular project meetings, provide updates on infrastructure & utility related activities, issues, and resolutions. Preparing concise weekly and monthly project reports which objectively qualify and quantify the work completed in line with financial expectations. Provide regular progress reports to Director Development and Construction. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all activities, including daily reports, permits, inspection records and as-built drawings are produced and maintained. Flexibility is required with a project of this nature; other duties may be required in the performance of construction and project management. Leading regular site visits to review progress, safety and quality delivery of the infrastructure & utilities works.
A BSc Civil Engineering or equivalent together with ten to fifteen years previous experience managing infrastructure and utilities projects. Chartered Engineer or equivalent and holding a valid CSCS card. You have an organized and structured approach with good technical and computer skills. Sound working knowledge and application of Scottish building and planning regulations. A high standard of personal presentation and diligence with exemplary time management. Excellent communication, influencing and people skills with a natural ability to build rapport and strong relationships with high profile clients and stakeholders. Specific experience in delivering projects consisting of roads, sewerage networks, sewage treatment plants, water, power, telecommunication stakeholders. Earthworks and site preparation/enabling works experience. Strong working knowledge of utilities designs and installations and the ability to liaise directly with utility providers. The technical ability and experience to successfully manage civil and utility consultants and contractors.
