An exciting opportunity has arisen within Curriculum Services and we are seeking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable individual to the role of Education Services Officer (Curriculum Approval) on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave (concluding on Friday 6th February 2026).
The Team
We have three teams within Curriculum Services: Curriculum Approval; Curriculum Review and Enhancement; and Curriculum Data. The successful candidate will be situated within Curriculum Approval.
The Role
Within Curriculum Approval, you will work closely with academic colleagues, guiding and supporting them through the approval, amendment and discontinuation processes. This includes servicing Faculty Approval Panels and supporting the Chair and the relevant Faculty Director of Education, providing them and the wider panel with the information they need to make an informed judgement on each item of business. You will work directly with academic colleagues in the development of provision, culminating in an enhancement-focused event, entitled Programme Enhancement, Approval and Review. We store and update information about our provision within a curriculum management system, which you will use daily and become a voice of authority in its functionality. You will also work closely with other colleagues in the Curriculum Approval Team and the Curriculum Approval Manager to ensure that our processes continue to be streamlined, reasonable and meet the needs of the University.
Please note that it is expected that all colleagues carry out cross-team and directorate work as and when required, such as supporting graduations, student enrolment and clearing.

We are looking for someone who:
1. Has a passion, ability and experience in delivering high levels of stakeholder engagement and effective communication;
2. Has the ability and confidence to write formal reports and presentations to update key stakeholders;
3. Is comfortable taking ownership of and resolving complex queries, working collaboratively with all stakeholders;
4. Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of the higher education sector.
