> Description About Be the Business: Be the Business is an independent charity set up to help improve the productivity of small businesses in the UK. As our chair, Sir Charlie Mayfield says, “Boosting productivity is the greatest economic challenge of our generation and is the route to economic growth and improved standards of living.” More details about Be the Business can be found on our website Be the Business Team: You will join a cross-functional team in building and managing our community: the recruitment of small businesses into our network, and managing communication and engagement with those businesses. You will also be involved in outreach activity to potential corporate partners, who might want to work with us to support that community of small businesses. Key Duties: Responding to emails, calls, and online interactions Deliver high-quality written messaging across digital and social media channels Support the logistics of online and in-person events, moderate online forums, manage WhatsApp group activity, and drive engagement through discussions and content creation. Monitor and guide discussions, oversee member communications and assess risks or opportunities Create, schedule, and manage social media posts Track engagement and recruitment activity through Salesforce Identify and recruit small businesses to initiatives through LinkedIn, Eventbrite, and other platforms, while coordinating internal support to drive participation. Assist with communication strategies, create materials using Canva and PowerPoint, liaise with external branding/design agencies. What Qualities and skills does the role require? Self-motivated & Adaptable Empathetic & People-Focused Organised & Detail-Oriented Purpose-Driven & Innovative Community & Social Media Engagement Positive & Flexible Entry Requirements: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work from work from home - though we do ask all our colleagues to be in the office near the Barbican, London, once per month on a Wednesday. We provide 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time). We have a 35 hour work week. A supportive work environment.
