We are delighted to be working with a well-established retail business in Blackburn, looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance administration, particularly purchase ledger, and experience in revenue reconciliations.
The successful Accounts Assistant must have experience handling stock purchase orders and sales invoices, a solid understanding of retail finance, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions and communicate with various members of the business to reconcile discrepancies.

What You'll Do
1. Create and maintain accurate supplier accounts
2. Process and amend purchase orders and invoices
3. Verify payments and allocate costs correctly
4. Request and reconcile monthly supplier statements also resolving discrepancies
5. Issue refunds and process replacements to maintain stock levels
6. Complete month-end tasks to ensure ledger accuracy
7. Resolve supplier issues and goods-in discrepancies
8. Perform reconciliations across various income transactions
9. Support year-end audits with accurate financial data
10. Work with the wider team to ensure smooth running across the business
