Repairs Manager
Location: East Midlands/Northern home counties (4 days on-site)
Contract Length: 3 months +
Day Rate: Competitive
We are looking for a dynamic Repairs Manager to join the team at a Housing Association and lead their repairs and maintenance operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to delivering safe, high-quality services while ensuring the best value for money for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the operational delivery of repairs and maintenance services.
* Ensure a safe, compliant, and high-quality repair service across properties.
* Manage KPIs, SLAs, and departmental budgets to meet targets and improve performance.
* Support the Assistant Director of Repairs in implementing the business plan.
* Promote a safety-first approach, adhering to health and safety standards.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to your team, ensuring a positive, customer-focused culture.
* Manage external suppliers, including contractors, to ensure the best quality of service and value for money.
* Contribute to strategic planning, reporting to management, and improving service delivery.
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience in managing high-volume residential repairs and property maintenance contracts.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, including coaching and development.
* A track record of managing health and safety across teams and operations.
* Budget management experience, including overseeing budgets of £2M+ per annum.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
* A customer-focused approach, always striving for excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
* Degree-level education or relevant sector/industry experience.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification (essential).
* Valid CSCS card (relevant manager grade).
* Full valid driving licence (required).
