MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their operations team with a MEICA Manager for our CMDP (Southern Water) joint venture framework. Based at Burham WSW you will take total responsibility for delivery of MEICA at this site, working alongside the operational & delivery team.
CMDP is a joint venture between Costain & MWHT delivering £300M+ across AMP7 and will deliver a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half of its region (Kent & East Sussex). The individual projects are the design and construction of improvements to clean water and dirty water treatment plants, including pumping stations and sea outfalls.
You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include.
1. Full life cycle responsibility for MEICA quality and consistency; from project need establishment to commissioning handover.

3. Outline design – guiding standards for the Project engineers to provide the early MEICA delivery input into design development/optioneering
4. Detailed Design - establish a consistent approach to design review of supply chain submissions
5. Meet with Heads of Design to review quality, timeliness, and consistency of Design production. Develop relationships with designers and supply chain to help improve delivery
6. Support the Programme managers with resource planning, any MEICA key issues as they arise, an oversight of MEICA construction issues and quality.
7. Working with the Programme Managers, Procurement Manager and Ops Lead to establish framework wide MEICA procurement strategy
8. Management responsibility for Project Engineers & M&E Supervisors framework wide
9. Meet regularly with Regional delivery leads to ensure MEICA is being delivered in a consistent manner
10. Ensure all projects are being delivered in accordance with National and Local Technical Standards
11. Meet with MEICA teams on a regular basis to review performance and feedback. Implement methods and processes ensure behaviors are developed to drive out excellence into all projects
12. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
13. Identify potential risks related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
14. Diligent Planning of the Southern Water SCO procedure to ensure that site compliance is maintained. The MEICA manager will need to chair meetings to demonstrate that risks have been reviewed and mitigated.
15. Be fully conversant with MEICA subcontractor contract conditions, and any risks associated with their process or methodology
16. Ensure all projects are delivered with zero H&S and Environmental incidents and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the CMDP Health, Safety & Welfare and Environmental Policies
17. Develop and implement innovative and appropriate processes to ensure consistent delivery
