LVS Oxford is a independent School for young people aged 11-19 with autism and offers a specialist and supported learning environment.
The successful candidates will be qualified to degree level and have a teaching qualification enabling them to teach up to GCSE level and above. Experience of teaching and supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those who have a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome and High Functioning Autism, is also necessary.
Class sizes are typically no larger than eight students and each class has a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The role demands the application of specialised teaching approaches, systematic planning and record keeping and the management and deployment of support staff as well as good ICT skills.
The Teacher will be a Tutor fora form group and support them with pastoral, parent contact and report writing duties including attending EHCP reviews.
