Project Manager – Ex-Military Candidates Only
* Salary up to £60,000 DOE
* Office in Malmesbury
* 2 days per week on site
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee and deliver externally funded projects. This role involves managing projects valued between £50k and £250k, with durations ranging from 3 months to 2 years. Precision, leadership, and a strong work ethic are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide engineering support (electrical/mechanical), including system design, supply, and installation.
* Manage project finances, ensuring compliance with funding agency rules.
* Report progress and deliverables to external agencies and partners.
* Prepare internal and external management reports.
* Represent the company at partner meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly).
* Prepare and submit claims, ensuring compliance with project plans and budgets.
* Coordinate with project partners, occasionally taking the lead.
* Oversee multiple projects, forecast staffing needs, and monitor resource allocations.
* Provide detailed cashflow forecasts for finance meetings.
* Identify project risks and propose corrective actions.
* Maintain documentation, labour, and budget plans in central systems.
Liaison with Funding Agencies
* Prioritise objectives to ensure timely project delivery within guidelines.
* Liaise with monitoring officers on scope, time, cost, risk, and compliance standards.
* Compile inputs from the Development Team for quarterly meetings, including Gantt charts, technical descriptions, and financial updates.
* Review project spend, flagging any issues with costs or timelines.
* Draft and seek approval for project change notes.
* Ensure deliverable documentation is submitted to partners promptly.
* Verify quarterly claims against the project plan, budget, and timesheets.
* Develop detailed quarterly plans and provide revised budgets to the company Accountant and Senior Team.
Skills and Experience
* PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Ability to identify issues and propose corrective actions.
* Team leadership experience.
* Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Effective interpersonal skills (tact, influence, and empathy).
* Clear, concise, and accurate reporting and presentation abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Strong commercial acumen.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary range: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
* Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
