About the Opportunity
Energy Programmes is one of the newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.
Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.

Amentum are recruiting for a Senior Scheduler to support the delivery of the Sizewell C Project. In this role you'll be accountable for the delivery of a discrete area of scope within the PMO or the Programme Area you are assigned, in support of the Programme Schedule Lead and the Project Controls Execution Plan and the Schedule Functional Guidelines which ensure we operate and deliver controls within the SZC governance structure, organisation and delivery model. You will ensure Schedule activities are being carried out in an efficient manner in accordance with calendars and deadlines established on SZC, driving innovation and excellence. Key responsibilities will be:
* Liaising with the supply chain and the assurance and contract compliance of their Schedule related information.
* Responsible for the successful delivery of the integrated schedule and schedule related information relating to their scope of work.
* To support the Programme schedule lead and PMO Schedule Lead with progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement.
* Responsible for the on-time production and quality of month end IWS forecast, baseline and Performance Reports for their direct scope of works.
* Help ensure the project is viewed by the Construction Industry as an exemplar in Schedule Management through knowledge sharing, networking and delivering presentations to the sector.
* Support stakeholder management to ensure successful delivery of SZC.
Here's What You'll Need
* Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field.
* A track record of working as a Senior Schedule on large and complex infrastructure projects.
* Expert planning and scheduling knowledge.
* Extensive experience in Primavera P6.
* Experience in Acumen Fuse or other schedule quality packages.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Ability to develop programmes from first principles as well as critical interrogation of suppliers’ programmes.
* Sound understanding of Schedule Hierarchy, Schedule integration, Schedule change.
* Able to promote planning and scheduling across the project at all levels.
* Sound contract acumen, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC.
* Understanding of QSRA.
* Knowledge in construction management.
* Understanding of the Design processes.
* Understanding of CDM and the impact on the schedule.
* Experience with increasing responsibility showing an ability to manage senior stakeholders.
