This role presents an exciting opportunity, working with key stakeholders (both internal and external), to support effective domestic abuse perpetrator management as part of our Multi-Agency Tasking and Coordination (MATAC) arrangements.
Working as part of the newly formed Milton Keynes Harm Reduction Unit, the successful candidate will be responsible for both management and administration of the MATAC process within the Milton Keynes Local Command Unit (LCU) and supporting Harm Reduction Unit (HRU) colleagues, addressing the potential risk posed by perpetrators of Domestic Abuse.
Key parts of the role will include:
1. The identification and profiling of DA perpetrators utilising a number of different tools and information systems as well as professional judgement.
2. Enhancing knowledge and practice with regard to effective DA perpetrator management across the LCU.
3. Promoting and advising on the use of protective orders and civil sanctions to support effective perpetrator management and protect victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
This post would suit both internal and external candidates who have experience of working in Domestic Abuse and are looking for a development opportunity within policing or perpetrator management, as well as those already working in this area.
Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
Please note this role will be offered as a fixed term contract or secondment until the 24th August 2025.
