An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, self-motivated Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team based at Whipps Cross Hospital.
The post holder will work closely with experienced rheumatology nurses, managing a caseload of patients, delivering personalized care, and conducting nurse-led clinics. The role involves working independently and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, providing advice and support across secondary and primary care.
The ideal candidate will have relevant rheumatology experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong clinical background. Attention to detail, teamwork, and autonomy are essential.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will act as an independent practitioner and team member, supporting patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. They will influence patient experience by working with the multidisciplinary team and acting as the patient's key worker.
Responsibilities include developing clinical practice, research, and care standards, creating policies, protocols, and guidelines, and contributing to service development to ensure seamless patient pathways. Promoting safe, evidence-based practice aligned with national objectives and clinical governance is also key.

Person Specification
Experience (Essential):
* Post-registration rheumatology experience
* Experience of nurse-led clinics, including osteoporosis clinics
* Practice development evidence
* Ability to utilize evidence in practice
* Experience working with multidisciplinary staff
Experience (Desirable):
* Rheumatology research experience, including nursing research and clinical trials
Skills (Essential):
* Ability to work independently and under pressure
