The Vacancy
We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals, and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Technical Support Apprentice.
In this role, you will assist the Technical Support Engineers within the Technical Support Group for Low Voltage Instruments (LVI), General Electrical Test (GET) equipment, and other products and applications. The role uniquely combines customer service expertise with technical knowledge, enhanced through internal training on Megger products and a 17-month Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship (Level 3) course. This includes hands-on training in Megger products and tools, equipping you with a unique combination of technical and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support to the Technical Support team.
2. Help replicate customer issues to identify technical problems or provide product knowledge.
3. Support customers and distributors via telephone and email (after training).
4. Maintain demonstration stock and assist with departmental operations, including Customer Relation Management (CRM) updates.
5. Organize internal and external training sessions for customers.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
1. Equivalent of 4 GCSEs (including English and Maths at grade 4 or above).
2. Computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and social media platforms.
3. Basic understanding of electrical systems (essential).
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and customer-focused with a can-do attitude.
