We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation's growth, we have created a new opportunity for an Audit & Accounts Junior to join our Liss audit and accounts team. Whilst this role is based in our Liss office, it will require infrequent travel to the Winchester office. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle) and a full study package to allow you to pursue professional qualifications. This is a great opportunity for someone who has at least 1 years' UK audit &/or accounts practice experience.
The Role
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Building productive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients as required.
* Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on-the-job training and formal qualifications.
* Preparing audit working papers for the areas that you are involved, including but not limited to bank, fixed assets, wages and salaries, debtors and creditors.
* Attending clients stocktakes and reporting findings.
* Assisting more senior members of staff in other areas of the file.
* Preparing notes to summarise your findings and recommendations for the senior's, manager's and partner's attention.
* Posting the audit clients' trial balances into statutory accounts format and updating disclosures as necessary.
* Producing financial accounts in accordance with FRS 102 1A and FRS 105 as well as sole trader and partnership accounts.
* Preparation of working papers/control accounts from incomplete accounting records.
* Using accounting software to provide accurate reporting for Managers, Partners and clients.
* Preparing basic corporation tax computations for clients.

About You
We would like to hear from you if you are a quick learner and can tick all of the below:
* At least 1 years' UK audit &/or accounts practice experience. Previous UK audit experience is preferable.
* Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) or higher e.g. a degree. You must have a minimum of 3 A Levels at grades A, B, B or above.
* Strong aptitude for IT, specifically Excel.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A positive, confident and proactive attitude.
* Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated.
* Willingness to undertake and succeed in a range of professional studies.
* As this role will require travel to other offices within the Shaw Gibbs Group as well as travel to client sites, a full UK driving license is desirable.
