The Shore Group is partnering with a leading Design & Build Office Fit-Out Contractor to appoint a Business Development Executive to join their team based in Hatfield.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for research and business development. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying potential clients, conducting in-depth market research, and supporting the wider business development team in securing valuable opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proactively research and identify potential clients within the commercial sector, focusing on office relocations, lease agreements, and business expansions.
2. Engage directly with prospective clients via telephone, email, and social media platforms (including LinkedIn) to understand their office fit-out requirements.
3. Maintain and expand a comprehensive database of key decision-makers within target companies.
4. Track, prioritize, and manage leads to support the senior business development team in booking high-quality appointments.
5. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to provide valuable insights for creative briefs and marketing strategies.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
1. Experience in a sales-focused role, with a proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
2. Outbound calling experience - comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers.
3. Experience in market research within a commercial or public sector business.
4. Proficiency in LinkedIn and other professional networking tools (preferred).
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret key business insights.
6. A proactive, self-motivated mindset, with excellent attention to detail.
