L and OD E-Learning Content Creator
Band 5, Full time, Permanent
We are looking for an enthusiastic and imaginative eLearning developer with some experience in digital content development,
including multimedia, eLearning, and online resources to support the educational needs of our staff and customers.
You will be required to work independently, and be a team player and collaborator, with the ability to apply critical thinking skills and reflection to generate creative ideas and solutions whilst also
adhering to agreed procedures and standards of delivery to ensure targets are met. The post holder will make quality a priority and promote continuous improvement by being dynamic, adaptive, and responsive to the needs of digital learning for end-users. You will demonstrate skills and experience to develop digital content, multimedia, and online resources to support the educational need
of our staff and customers.
The post holder will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Digital learning (E- learning) and assessments content for the digital systems within the Trust, and to ensure the digital learning
content becomes, and remains, fit for purpose for the escalating demands of the Trust. These resources will be hosted on the Trust systems including the Learning Management System (LMS).

(L&D) trends and develop innovative ideas for online resources
Design and create bespoke interactive and engaging online and blended learning solutions including
interactive eLearning, videos, simulations, animations, games, etc. for a variety of topics that meet
expected quality standards.
Utilise or commit to learning to utilise a variety of authoring and design software and multimedia tools to
develop visuals for slide decks, HTML web pages, print and communications, including curating and
creating video and audio resources
To provide digital learning content for the training of core skills through ESR/OLM
To be responsible for the design, development, end to end testing, delivery and maintenance of
comprehensive training and e-learning material
To ensure that Digital Training materials are kept up to date and available to staff via the relevant platforms
schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and
Purley War Memorial Hospital.
CUH provides more than 100 specialist services and is home to the borough’s only
Emergency Department and 24/7 maternity services, including a labour ward, midwifery-led
birth centre and the Crocus home birthing team.
Purley War Memorial Hospital (PWMH) in the south of the borough offers outpatient care,
including diagnostic services, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services run by Moorfields
Eye Hospital, alongside an onsite GP surgery.
Our experienced district nursing teams, Allied Health Professionals and community matrons
look after for people of all ages across Croydon and our Children’s Hospital at Home cares
for children with long-term conditions without them having to come to hospital.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure infographics are accurate, meaningful and fit for use by Senior Managers within the Trust
To develop and maintain e-learning project plans, work schedules and e-learning delivery plans to
ensure that actions are followed up and key milestones are met.

Analyse training data to support and understand e-learning uptake and support continuous
improvement.
To maintain one’s own personal and professional development
Responsible for creation and maintenance of all IT/Digital Services Training materials.
Project Management
• To plan, organise and lead on the delivery of the ESR eLearning platform including designing,
developing host technology-based resources to support learning.
• Manage e-training schedules and communications to enable end-user e-learning
• Manage e-learning work stream priorities and support clinical trainers to plan and deliver to
programme timescales
• To highlight risks and barriers to programme delivery ensuring a proactive approach to the
reduction of risk, effectiveness, and a safe and healthy environment in line with the best
governance.
• To interpret and communicate information internally to individuals or groups to ensure it is
understood and acted on appropriately.
• To take part in projects as required to ensure the digital learning content for these are scoped,
planned and delivered in a timely manner
Other
• To be an expert on the digital learning development applications, including, but not limited to:
Adobe suite (InDesign, PremierePro, Captivate etc.), Articulate 360, Vyond, Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
• To ensure digital learning content meet the wider needs of the organisation and supports
clinical and operational processes
• To design, develop, test and implement clinical e-learning content
• To carry out regular research around new tools, software and e-learning delivery methods
• To ensure all Training and Assessment output and products are compliant with relevant
Information Governance requirements

• To be able to adapt training/learning material from face to face to e-learning with an emphasis
on scenario-based learning.
• Cultivate the capabilities and raise the confidence of all end-users in utilising digital content and
bespoke eLearning pathways. Encourage and promote adoption of a digital culture throughout
our end-user base, highlighting and driving the benefits that access to a 24/7 available learning
environment brings.
• Responsible for setting, monitoring, and reporting on e-learning KPIs (Key Performance
Indicators) to ensure quality training has been delivered, feedback analysed, and continuous
improvement embedded.
• Be innovative and creative, by researching the latest digital trends and by continually
developing effective ways to apply innovative technologies and advancements throughout
digital education.
• To conduct demos & knowledge sharing sessions
The jobholder will work to:
• Enhance eLearning quality and flexibility to end-users
• Ensure that health & safety, governance and equality and diversity issues are
managed appropriately.
• Provide a key point of contact for key stakeholders with involvement in e-
learning strategies
• Manage eLearning communications e.g., email, correspondence, presentations,
briefings etc
• Develop and implement e-learning training plans and training schedules to ensure
all end users are trained and compliant
• Carry out e-training performance monitoring and promotes a continuous cycle of
quality improvement
• Work independently and as part of a team managing own workload and assisting
TRUST and L&D colleagues to develop and align content with other training
materials.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with current policies and
training procedures, and that changes to learning practice are agreed upon with
L&D
