We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP & YOI Hollesley Bay, a category D Prison located in the village of Hollesley, near Woodbridge in Suffolk.
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
Hours
The Healthcare service hours are:
Monday - Friday - 07:00 to 18:30
Saturday - Sunday - 07:00 - 17:00
You will be working predominantly Monday to Friday, however there is an expectation to work approximately 1 weekend in 4.

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum - depending on experience.

Main Duties of the Job
As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high-quality clinical service for patients.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
* Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute to audits and governance.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners.
* Provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Qualifications Required
* NMC Registered Nurse Adult
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced clinical lead to provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams. You will:
* Deliver workshops to develop the team's learning in various areas such as clinical processes, documentation, patient care and joint Healthcare & HMPPS processes.
* Work in partnership with the Head of Healthcare to identify and mitigate clinical risk.
* Support the process of patient concerns and oversee local patient engagement strategy.
* Lead support team with safeguarding, manage the rota and sign off agency nurses' hours online/staff payroll when required.
