Meadowfield School has an excellent opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our Finance Department. This is a varied and dynamic role and you will support the day-to-day running of the finance operations, including preparation of payment runs, reconciliation work, payroll functions, and other ad-hoc duties. The successful candidate will be well-organised, with a high level of attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to prioritise your workload and operate independently. You will work closely with and report directly to the Finance & Contracts Manager.
This role will suit someone with previous bookkeeping/accounting experience, and working in a school background is preferred but not necessary. You will need to have a desire to understand the impact of finance on all areas of the school organisation.
At Meadowfield, we work hard to ensure that all of our pupils make excellent progress, and we continually seek to improve the wellbeing of both pupils and staff. Ofsted recognise that relationships between our staff and pupils are exceptionally positive, and we are delighted that our pupils told inspectors they are very happy at the school and really enjoy their lessons. From all staff, we expect commitment to the school and pupils, and a desire to improve and excel.

In addition, the attached information pack has guidance on applying for this role. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with all the information provided, plus information about the school from our website, before submitting your application.
