Job Description
Due to growth and new business, The Cake Crew are recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join our expanding Technical Team. Based in Bala in North Wales, this is a site-based role. Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with some flexibility to meet the demands of the role.
The purpose of the role is to manage the legan and compliance areas of the technical function.
You will be an organised individual with excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and vast knowledge of food legalities and customer codes of practice and keen to keep knowledge upto date and share with the wider teams are key to the role.
Key areas of accountability are:
1. Manage the Approval of raw materials, services and suppliers. Ensure that the supplier approval is up to date and RM specs are reviewed every 2 years. Communications with suppliers, procurement and warehouse teams.
2. External supplier audits as applicable.
3. Complete VACCP risk assessments & horizon scanning and provide updates on legislation changes.
4. Management of the internal audit program for the site – ensuring audits are scheduled, carried out, non conformances and corrective actions are closed out. Including customer specific requirements in addition to BRCGS.
5. Participate and support customer visits and site audits
