The service users will be 18 years old and above with autism and complex needs. A desire to make a difference in individuals' lives is essential to this role. You will be assisting in their day-to-day lives, in their home, and in the community, taking out on activities to promote independence.

Practical Manual Handling training is preferable (we can offer this at a subsidised price at our office)

Shifts: Ad hoc/temporary/temp to perm/part-time hours/full-time hours
Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)
A full UK driving license is preferred

What you'll be doing as a Learning Disability Support Worker:
You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.

What you'll need to be successful as a Learning Disability Support Worker:
A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities
Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
A minimum of 6 months experience of working within a social care setting in the UK
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
