Commercial Senior Analyst
Here's what you'll be doing
npower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c20,000 customers and approximately 200,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Senior Analyst to join our team. For this role, you will support the Generation Services growth strategy to grow its future contribution to nBS and maximise the potential opportunity presented by the growing renewables market space. This role is based in Solihull, with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities
1. Lead detailed modelling and analysis to ensure Generation Services meets its Business Plan; this will include monitoring a detailed KPI dashboard.
2. Produce management reports each month in conjunction with npower Finance to track Generation Services progress to meeting its Business Plan.
3. Providing monthly forecasting inputs into E.ON Energy Markets for the management of the Generation Services Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) and Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) positions.
4. Ensure deal evaluation, transaction approvals (TARs) and deal approvals are executed in line with our Commercial Guardrails, Approved T&C’s and within our DoA mandate.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations maintaining awareness of updates and changes.
6. Provide pivotal input to origination, structuring and execution of new renewable product transactions and power purchase agreements with internal & external counterparties to deliver significant gross margin.
7. Responsible for contributing to the development of new bespoke pricing, billing and settlement processes supporting a suite of complex electricity products, including those for embedded benefits, ROCs & REGO and netting arrangements.
What we need from you
8. Extensive experience of exposure to dynamic, commercial environments with a track record of ongoing success.
9. Technical expertise will follow the full end-to-end contract life cycle, including advanced knowledge of relevant contract structures.
10. Experience in the development and negotiation of complex products and contractual arrangements.
11. The ability to make optimal decisions in a challenging fast-moving environment.
12. Have strong IT skills MS Office suite (especially Excel), VB(A), statistical packages.
It would be great if you had
13. A demonstratable understanding of the UK Energy Market including wholesale, retail, renewables, distribution, and generation market spaces.
14. Experience within Power Purchasing Agreements.
