Must be able to drive as the location is remote with no access via public transport.
Role Responsibilities:
* Hold a daily team meeting to discuss work allocation and challenges.
* Schedule all manufacturing projects, allocating workload to ensure customer expectations are met.
* Work closely with the Project Management team to create a clear priority of works.
* Collaborate with the compliance and systems officer to improve processes and work towards a LEAN manufacturing process.
* Manage and gather time sheets from the production team for processing for team members.
* Oversee the Fabrication and Machinery teams, including conducting staff one-to-ones and probation reviews.
* Assist the quality manager in ensuring the team maintains quality standards as per the quality manual.
* Ensure all production team members have the necessary resources to carry out their tasks, including materials, PPE, tools, and space.
* Hold team members accountable for meeting daily output targets.
* Maintain hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory.
* Manage steel sheet stock and procurement.
* Oversee the procurement of all workshop consumables while working within a budget.
* Ensure health & safety standards are met in and around the factory.
* Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of the factory and its machinery.
Experience required:
* At least 5 years of previous line management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in fabrication.
* Background in engineering.
* Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel.
* Ideally, have scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference given if in fabrication.
* Health and Safety experience, preferably IOSH accredited, but training can be provided.
* Budgeting and purchasing experience would be an advantage.
* Full valid UK driving licence required.
