We are looking for someone to become a member of our Dispensary Team, where you will provide support in delivering a high quality service to all Pharmacy customers. The innovative use of IT is important to us and we are continually looking for new opportunities. We have robotic dispensing, bar-coded prescription tracking, electronic prescribing and discharge systems. The department is friendly and supportive, operating within a modern environment having gone through a full refurbishment in winter 2017. This position would suit someone with a keen eye for detail and who is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including other healthcare professionals and members of the public. You will be a good team player, enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Main duties of the job Your role will include: Dispensing inpatient and outpatient prescriptions and discharge medication. Meeting and greeting people at the reception hatch and accepting outpatient prescriptions and taking prescription charges. Stock control and associated tasks relating to stock management. The department is a 24 hour department and the core hours for the dispensary are 9.00am until 9.00pm. This is a part time post: Wednesday 14.15-18.00, Thursday Friday 09.30-18.00. You will also be required to work four Friday late night shifts in a 16 week period 11.30-20.00 and weekends and bank holidays. You will be required to complete a GPhC-approved dispensary Level 2 course.
