We are looking for a dedicated and inspiring Employability Teacher to join their team, helping students develop essential career skills, confidence, and an understanding of the world of work. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as Employability Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging employability lessons that prepare students for the world of work.
* Support students with CV writing, interview skills, and career planning.
* Deliver sessions on workplace etiquette, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
* Build partnerships with local employers and organisations to create work experience opportunities.
* Provide guidance on apprenticeships, college applications, and career pathways.
* Help students develop confidence and workplace communication skills.
* Track student progress and provide feedback to help them develop their employability skills.
* Work collaboratively with other staff, career advisors, and external partners to enhance career education.
Ideal Employability Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/training qualifications.
* Experience in teaching employability, careers education, business studies, or a related subject.
* A strong understanding of the current job market, career pathways, and employer expectations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage students.
* The ability to motivate and support students in developing confidence and career aspirations.
* Experience working with local businesses, apprenticeship providers, or employability schemes (desirable).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students as an Employability Teacher.
