Robert Half is working exclusively with a UK leading supplier based in Lancaster in the recruitment of its new Finance Manager. Established for nearly 50 years, the company distributes leading materials and equipment brands for sign making, digital printing, vehicle wrapping, paint protection, graphic production, interior décor, and textile printing.
Due to growth, the finance team is now seeking a Finance Manager / Cost Accountant to manage the finance function and act as a business partner to the CEO.
Day to day duties include;
1. Prepare financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner in line with Group requirements to include monthly management accounts
2. Preparation of monthly reporting presentation for senior management
3. In depth analysis of variances in production including waste, efficiency and costs. Paying particular attention to overhead recovery and consumption
4. Analysis and reporting of expenses and variations to budget and forecast
5. Accounting for Inventory, including monitoring of inventory management, stock counts, valuation, and sale-ability
6. Support the year-end audit process
7. Product costing including machine / labour and material costs to ensure correct COS within the business
8. Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts in conjunction with the CEO and with assistance from the UK Finance Team
9. Provide HR administration support including compilation of payroll input, compilation of contracts of employment, presenting monthly new starter induction.
You
10. Full or part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with at least 3 years' experience of cost accounting in a Manufacturing environment
11. Advanced Excel skills
12. Knowledge of SAP to enable extraction of relevant data and accurate and speedy input of data
13. Strong accounting skills
