The People Services Specialist Advisor provides complex advice and guidance and uses a coaching approach to support day to day people management issues, and in particular on matters relating to attendance management queries and case work. The post holder will also provide complex advice on applying and interpreting policies and procedures in line with best practice and national terms and conditions (Agenda for Change and Medical and Dental). They will provide expert advice on the Trust's Empactis sickness reporting system for attendance management queries, functionality and training, supporting and implementing ongoing projects in the reduction of sickness absence across the Trust, using innovation and forward-thinking solutions to embed cultural and sustained change. Main duties of the job To support the People Services Business Partner in the development of a positive approach to attendance management issues by building strong and effective partnerships between HR colleagues, managers, clinicians, staff and their representatives To provide advice, coach and assist managers in complex attendance cases, working in partnership with managers, including advising on processes and legal matters, and coaching to support provision of management reports. To provide consistent complex and sensitive advice and recommendations in relation to the management of a wide ranging attendance cases.
