Role Description
We see this role as critical to our plans for 2025. We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated Yard Operative to work alongside our Depot Supervisor and Traffic Management Team. A common-sense, thinking outside the box mentality is crucial for us as we develop through to the next stage of growth.

Responsibilities
1. Operate in a safe, legal, clean and efficient manner at all times (yard audit ready).
2. Daily battery checks carried out (including wiring and fuses, and ensuring all fully charged).
3. Daily routine checks on traffic lights carried out, and report non-working or damaged light heads to Line Manager.
4. All sign plates stripped and stored safely and checked for damage, ensuring all have an RTS sticker on the back.
5. Support and assist with printing signage as and when required.
6. Sandbags to be made up as and when required (minimum of 300 in stock at all times). Repair all damaged bags or refill as required.
7. Cones to be stacked and repaired as required.
8. Ensure vehicles returned from Event work are checked for fuel card, fuel, damages and cleanliness. Photograph all concerns and raise with Line Manager.
9. Welfare facilities to be maintained to a high standard and any damages or faults reported to Line Manager.
10. Maintain and keep the yard area tidy by sweeping and picking up litter as needed.
11. In Line Manager's absence ensure any Visitors sign in and are aware of the fire regulations.
12. Support in the loading and unloading of vehicles to aid a swift turnaround of task.
13. Support Line Manager when required with tasks such as stock taking or loading events.
14. Be responsible for, and wear company provided uniform and PPE, ensuring it is clean and in good condition. When replacements are required, you must inform your Line Manager.
15. Disclose to Line Manager immediately should you receive any points on your Driving Licence (for insurance purposes).
16. Timesheets to be completed and sent by 5pm on a Monday (unless stated otherwise). Any received after this deadline will not be processed until the following week.
17. Tablets must be fully completed daily, in line with company expectation and guidelines.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10hr shifts (overtime available dependent on workload).
