In this role, you will be involved in:
1. Interpretation and advice of current and new legislation and information to ensure the Mill meets all legislative requirements.
2. Liaison with Enforcement Agencies, Insurers and KC Safety Leaders.
3. Ensure all the required health and safety responsibilities are being carried out fully.
4. Ensure that all appropriate safety matters/issues are correctly reported, managed effectively and communicated.
5. Assist in investigation of incidents, injuries and near misses.
6. Ensure regular safety audits of the mill take place.
7. Lead and assist in the risk assessment of machinery and operational activity.
8. Oversee Employer Liability Insurance Claims.
9. Provide statistical data and analysis to support asset improvement activities.
10. Ensure the Safety forum and other sub groups meet and discuss safety regularly.
11. Set standards, drives improvement and ensures regular auditing of the Mill.
12. Meet regularly with Mill Leaders and other personnel as appropriate.
13. Support Safety Champion’s activities and develops site safety improvement plans.
14. Assist in identification of training needs and the provision of training.
About You
This position requires a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent) and relevant experience in EHS Leadership.
Desirable: This position would like candidates to hold/have;
* Experience in a FMCG work environment.
* An Environmental Qualification/Certificate.
* Trained ISO 45001 Auditor.
